Ingredients
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lb ground round
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup milk
Directions

1Mix flour, sage, salt and pepper together.

2Form ground round into 4 oval steaks and dredge in seasoned flour.

3Reserve remaining flour for gravy.

4Cook steaks in oil until browned, 3 to 5 minutes on each side.

5Remove steaks from pan.

6Add onions to skillet and cook over medium heat until very brown.

7Spread remainder of seasoned flour over bottom of pan and stir until brown.

8Slowly add water, stirring until it begins to boil.

9Add milk, stirring constantly.

10Return steaks to gravy for about 5 minutes.

11Cover and turn off the heat and let stand for a few minutes to allow the meat to absorb the flavors.
