- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck or steak
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 2 tsp. grated onion
- 1 egg, beaten
- melted butter
- canned hot peppers, seeds removed and cut in small pieces to taste
Directions

1Mix all ingredients, except butter, thoroughly.

2Mold into steak shapes about 1 1/4-inch thick.

3Place in buttered baking dish and brush melted butter on tops.

4Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

5Reduce heat to 325° and bake for about 25 minutes longer.

6(At this time, turn the steaks over.)

7Brush with more butter once or twice during this baking.
