- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 large onion
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Mix hamburger, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg; shape into 4 patties.

2Cook patties over medium heat, turning occasionally, until brown, about 10 minutes; drain.

3Add onion, broth and mushrooms.

4Heat to boiling; reduce heat.

5Cover and simmer until beef is done.

6Remove patties; keep warm.
