Salmon Ball

  • 1 can (1 Lb. Can) Salmon
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Flakes
  • 2 teaspoons Prepared Horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke
  • 1 dash Chipotle Hot Pepper
  • 1/4 Tablespoons Salt
  • 1 package (8 Oz. Package) Softened Cream Cheese
  • 3/4 cups Finely Chopped Pecans

Directions

    Pour juice off can of salmon and put into a large bowl.

    Remove skin and bones and flake up the meat.

    Add lemon juice, onion, horseradish, liquid smoke, hot pepper and salt.

    Mix well.

    Add softened cream cheese and mix throughly.

    Shape into a ball.

    Chill several hours or overnight.

    I usually put it in a nice round bowl, then it takes a nice shape.

    The next morning or several hours later, after thoroughly chlled, remove from bowl and roll in nuts.

    Chill again for several hours.

    Serve with a mild cracker so as not to take away the great flavor (I use Sociables).
