- 1 large can salmon
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- shortening
- 1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped fine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Put salmon in bowl, flake and remove bones.

2Beat egg. Combine with milk, crumbs and other ingredients.

3Add to salmon. Mix well.

4Shape into 6 cakes.

5Place in hot shortening over medium heat and brown on both sides.

6Serve with tartar sauce, if desired.

7These may also be baked at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
