- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (3 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 c. seeded and chopped tomatoes
Directions

1In small saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender.

2Stir in remaining ingredients, except tomatoes.

3Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.

4Stir in tomatoes.

5Serve warm with hamburgers, fish, tacos, tostadas or tortilla chips.

6Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
