  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup Italian style breadcrumbs
  • 14 cup salsa (choose a quality store bought salsa in mild, medium or hot)
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 12 red pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 12 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese

Directions

    In a bowl beat eggs and mix in all ingredients except beef.

    Mix in beef and shape into six 1/2-inch patties.

    Cook over medium heat, about 5 minutes per side.

    Add cheese during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
