Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 c. melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 (10 oz.) bag peanut butter chips
  • 2/3 c. white Karo syrup
  • 2 c. crispy rice cereal
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. salted peanuts

Directions

    Mix together first three ingredients and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Sprinkle marshmallows over cake.

    Put back into oven until they are puffy.

    Combine peanut butter chips, Karo syrup and vanilla in a large saucepan and heat until chips are melted.

    Add peanuts and rice cereal and stir to coat.

    Drop topping by spoonfuls onto puffy marshmallows.

    Cool completely and cut into 2-inch squares.
