Sambucca Soaked Shrimp

  • Peeled and Devained Large Shrimp
  • Bacon or prosicutto
  • Sambucca
  • wooden skewers
  • course peper and kosher salt

    Peel and devaine the shrimp leaving the tail on

    Wrap a piece about 3 inches long of bacon or prosicutto around the shrimp.

    Thred through wooden skewers that have been soaked in Water for 1/2 hour prior

    Face tails in same direction You can fit at least 4 Shrimp on each skewer.

    Salt and pepper

    Place in a glass baking pan and pour Sambucca over the shrimp
  7. 7
    Bush the liquid on the shrimp to evenly coat
  8. 8
    Marinate for up to 1/2 hour
  9. 9
    When ready to serve, Place on a hot grate . Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. They will have a lovely carmelized look them . Use a pair on yongs to turn and handel.

    serve them hot on the skewer. No need for any sauce to accompany
