- 12 slices sandwich bread
- sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup grated med.
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons butter soft
- 5 beaten eggs slightly
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups diced chicken finely, or ham
Directions

1Make a filling of the chicken, onion, mayonnaise, and half the cheese.

2Make 6 sandwiches by spreading one side of bread with butter and then the filling.

3Place sandwiches in a greased baking dish.

4Combine eggs, milk, and salt; pour over the sandwiches.

5Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours.

6Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes.

7Sprinkle remaining cheese 10 minutes before end of baking time.
