- 4 Idaho potatoes
- 1 quart vegetable oil
- Salt
- Deep fryer and basket
Directions

1Wash the potatoes under cold running water.

2Peel off the skin and discard it.

3Thinly slice the potatoes 1/8-inch thick.

4Place the slices in a bowl of ice water and set aside for 30 minutes.

5Drain and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

6Pour the oil into a deep fryer.

7Heat the oil to 360.

8Place about 1 cup of the potatoes into the oil and stir lightly.

9Cook until the potatoes become crisp golden brown.

10Remove the potatoes and drain on paper towles.

11Repeat with the remaining potatoes.

12Sprinkle lightly with salt.
-
13Place on a serving place and serve hot.
