- 2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1/3 c. light corn syrup (clear)
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine sugar, water and syrup in saucepan.

2Boil rapidly until syrup spins a 6 to 8-inch thread or 242°.

3While syrup is cooking, beat egg whites until stiff enough to hold a point.

4Pour hot syrup slowly in a thin stream into egg whites, beating constantly.

5Add vanilla.

6Beat until icing holds its shape.
