  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

    Cut steak in 1-inch squares, brown on all sides in tablespoon of fat.

    Remove steak; mix water with gravy mix and add remaining ingredients; bring to boil; add steak.

    Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours.

    Remove bay leaf and serve over hot buttered noodles.
