  • 3 lb. beef (pot roast)
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. flour mixed with water
  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 large sliced onion

Directions

    Make brine from all ingredients (except meat) and leave overnight at room temperature.

    Pour over meat.

    Bake in 300° oven, 2 hours.
