- 3 pieces bacon
- 1 can Bavarian style sauerkraut with caraway
- 1 c. water
- 2 tsp. granulated sugar
- 1 medium onion, diced or cut up
Directions

1Drain juice off sauerkraut.

2Fry bacon until crispy.

3Break or cut up.

4Using bacon grease (do not toss away), add drained sauerkraut.

5Brown.

6Add water, sugar, onion and if you purchased sauerkraut without caraway, then add caraway seed.

7Cover; simmer 50 to 60 minutes, until water disappears or take off cover at the end.

8Sprinkle a little flour over to thicken.
