Sausage Breakfast Casserole

- 6 slices bread
- butter
- 1 lb. pork sausage
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Remove crust from bread; spread with butter on both sides. Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Cook sausage until crumbly; drain well.

3Spoon sausage over bread; sprinkle with cheese.

4Combine eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard; mix well and pour over cheese. Cover pan; chill overnight.

5Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes, or until set.
