Sausage Breakfast Casserole

  • 6 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 1 lb. sausage, browned and drained
  • 1 1/2 c. grated mild Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. half and half
  • 1 tsp. salt to taste

    Spread bread with butter and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Crumble sausage over bread.

    Sprinkle cheese over sausage.

    Beat eggs, half and half and salt together.

    Pour over cheese.

    Cover overnight.

    Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Uncover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
