Sausage Spaghetti Dinner

  • 2 lb. smoked link sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained), chopped
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti
  • grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

    Cook sausage in a Dutch oven over medium heat until browned, stirring occasionally.

    Add onions and cook until lightly browned. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, bay leaf and Worcestershire sauce.

    Cook and simmer about 35 minutes.

    Add green pepper; simmer an additional 10 minutes.

    Prepare spaghetti according to package directions; drain.

    Serve sauce over spaghetti.
