Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 2 or 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram
  • 5 or 6 c. bread cubes

Directions

    In frying pan put sausage, onions and celery.

    Saute until sausage is turning brown.

    (You should have lots of grease; add some butter if you need more.)

    Add garlic, parsley, mushrooms (save the liquid to put in later), salt, pepper, sage, poultry seasoning and marjoram.

    Stir everything and continue sauteing until sausage is brown.

    Add liquid from mushrooms and turn off the heat.

    Put bread cubes in and mix lightly.

    There should be enough liquid to moisten the bread.
