  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 12 lbs firm crisp apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 pieces (Golden Delicious is recommended)
  • 12 cup white sugar or 12 cup brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

    Add butter to a large, deep skillet; set heat at medium.

    When the butter melts, add in the apples; turn the heat to low, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.

    Add in the sugar and cinnamon; increase heat to medium; cook, stirring often, until the apples are tender and glazed, another 10 minutes or so.

    Serve hot or warm.
