  • 3 medium onions, diced
  • 3 Tbsp. fat (if necessary)
  • 2 or 3 lb. round steak
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves and thyme
  • 3 bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1/2 pt. hot water
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup

    Brown onions

    meat, which has been cut in cubes in serving pieces.

    Mix dry ingredients; sprinkle over meat.

    Add bouillon, water, vinegar and catsup.

    Stir until well blended; cover.

    1/2 hours until tender. (If you use canned meat it does not need to simmer as long.)
