  • crackers (soda) or butter crackers (approximately 1 1/2 inner packs)
  • cabbage (1 small head), cooked
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Put a layer of crackers on bottom of 2-quart baking dish.

    Add 1 layer of cooked cabbage, then a layer of 1/2 can mushroom soup, followed by a layer of 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese.

    Repeat layers again.

    Add pepper (if desired).

    Top with crushed cracker crumbs on top.

    Bake about 20 to 25 minutes at 325°.

    Crackers may be crushed for layers.
