Scalloped Cabbage

  • 1 medium size head cabbage
  • water
  • 1 stick oleo
  • crackers or bread crumbs
  • 1 (6 oz.) roll Smokelle cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)

Directions

    Slice cabbage in 1/2-inch round slices.

    Cook in small amount of water until almost done.

    Don't overcook.

    Drain; put half of cabbage in a greased baking dish.

    Cut up butter and cheese using half of each.
  6. 6
    Spread this with half of soup, then add rest of cabbage, butter, cheese and soup.

    Cover with crumbled soda crackers or bread crumbs and bake at 350° until it bubbles. Serves 8.
