- 1 small head cabbage
- pepper rings (optional)
- 1 c. cheese
- buttered bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. oleo
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 c. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cut cabbage in 1/8 wedges and cook in boiling salted water for 8 minutes.

2Put drained cabbage in greased baking dish.

3Melt oleo in saucepan and blend in cornstarch.

4Add milk, salt and pepper. Cook until mixture thickens.

5Pour this white sauce over cabbage. Top with pepper rings and the cheese and cover top with buttered bread crumbs.

6Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until crumbs are brown.
