- 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn
- 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
- milk (see directions for amount)
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
- 15 to 20 soda crackers
- 1 Tbsp. each: onion and green pepper, finely chopped (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Drain liquid from whole corn into measuring cup, noting the amount.

3Discard the liquid.

4Pour milk into same measuring cup until amount equals liquid that was discarded.

5Put corn into medium-sized casserole dish.

6Add butter, milk and cheese to the corn.

7Add green pepper and onion, if desired.

8Mix well.

9Crumble crackers into mixture.

10Stir.

11Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven for 30 minutes.

12Dish is done when top starts to brown and mixture appears set.

13Remove from oven and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
