Scalloped Mushrooms

  • 1 lb. fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3 c. dry white wine

Directions

    Place 1/3 mushrooms in a buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Cover with 1/3 of the bread crumbs; drizzle 1/3 of melted butter over top.

    Repeat with 1/3 of the same ingredients; add salt and pepper and end with a layer of mushrooms.

    Sprinkle salt and pepper and pour wine all over.

    Cover and bake 25 minutes at 325°. Just before serving, mix remaining butter and crumbs; spoon over mushrooms.

    Bake an additional 10 minutes, uncovered.
