- 2 pt. fresh oysters
- 2 c. whipping cream
- 3/4 ??? white crackers, crushed
- 3/4 stick butter, sliced
- salt and pepper
- ground nutmeg
Directions

1In large 9 x 12-inch buttered baking dish, spread a layer of cracker crumbs, then oysters with juice and salt and pepper to taste.

2Sprinkle nutmeg to season.

3Place butter pat slices on top.

4Cover with remaining cracker crumbs.

5Pour whipping cream over all.

6Cover and refrigerate overnight.

7When ready to bake, add a little half and half, if needed.

8Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
