- 1 pt. oysters, drain (keep liquid)
- 1 stick butter
- 16 saltines
- 2 c. shredded cheese
- 1 can evaporated milk
Directions

1Crumble crackers in the bottom of a 2-quart casserole.

2Use 1/2 of the oysters.

3Then add 1/2 of the cheese.

4Cover with a layer of crackers; use 1/2 of the butter.

5Layer remainder of oysters.

6Spread remainder of cheese.

7Sprinkle with pepper. Cover top layer with crumbled crackers.

8Dot on rest of butter. Pour evaporated milk and liquid from the oysters over all.

9Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes.
