- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 3 sticks butter or margarine
- salt and pepper
- 3 qt. milk or more
Directions

1Peel and slice potatoes into 1/8-inch slices.

2Layer about 1/3 of potatoes in a large roasting pan.

3Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of flour; dot with 1 stick of butter or margarine that has been cut into 1/4-inch slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4Layer potatoes, flour, butter, salt and pepper in two more layers. Cover with milk and bake in a 350° oven for 2 hours or until potatoes are tender.
