Scalloped Potatoes

  • approximately 6 c. sliced potatoes
  • 2 medium-size onions, sliced into rings
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 slices bacon, fried crisp
  • 1/2 c. chopped sweet green pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • milk

Directions

    Arrange one layer of potatoes in bottom of deep baking dish, then layer of onion rings, sprinkled with flour, pepper and salt. Repeat until potatoes and onions are used.

    Cut a stick of butter in 6 pieces.

    Crush the bacon.

    Sprinkle bacon and chopped green peppers on top of potatoes and onions.

    Add enough milk to cover the mixture.

    Dot the top with chunks of butter.

    Bake approximately 1 hour in 350° oven or until tender.

    Serves approximately 10 to 12.
