- 4 large potatoes, sliced thin
- 2 medium onions
- 1 can soup (mushroom or chicken)
- 4 slices cheese
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Alternate slices of potatoes and onions in a buttered casserole, dotting each layer with butter, salt and pepper. Combine the cream of chicken or mushroom soup with milk; mix thoroughly and pour over the vegetables.

2Lift the potatoes and onions so that the soup is well mixed with them.

3Top all with the sliced cheese.

4Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, or until the potatoes are tender.
