  • 4 large potatoes, sliced thin
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 can soup (mushroom or chicken)
  • 4 slices cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c. milk

Directions

    Alternate slices of potatoes and onions in a buttered casserole, dotting each layer with butter, salt and pepper. Combine the cream of chicken or mushroom soup with milk; mix thoroughly and pour over the vegetables.

    Lift the potatoes and onions so that the soup is well mixed with them.

    Top all with the sliced cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours, or until the potatoes are tender.
