- 6 large tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1 Tbsp. grated onion
Directions

1Peel tomatoes and cut in quarters.

2Place in saucepan and mash slightly to press out some juice.

3Cook over low heat 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

4Add onion and butter.

5Place alternate layers of tomatoes and crumbs.

6Bake at 375° for 20 to 30 minutes.
