Scalloped Tomatoes

  • 4 c. tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • 6 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar (can use less)

Directions

    Pour tomatoes into a 9 x 13-inch greased dish.

    Cut bread into pieces and sprinkle on top of tomatoes.

    Pour butter over bread pieces. Sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or less until crisp on top.
