- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 c. coarse soft bread crumbs
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes, drained and cut up
Directions

1Saute onions in margarine until tender.

2Stir in bread crumbs, sugar, salt and pepper.

3Set aside.

4Arrange half of the tomatoes in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

5Top with half of crumb mixture. Repeat layers.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
