- 1 qt. canned tomatoes
- 2 c. bread crumbs, crumbled
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. fat
- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery (optional)
- 1/4 c. chopped pepper (optional)
Directions

1Cook onion, celery and pepper (if used) in fat.

2Break up tomatoes and crumble in bread.

3Add bay leaf, sugar, salt and dry mustard.

4Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.

5Top with small amount of bread crumbs.

6Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

7Serves 8.
