  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 5 tsp. salt
  • 1 qt. warm water
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. dry milk
  • 2 1/3 lb. flour

    Combine yeast, sugar, salt and dry milk.

    Mix well, then add warm water.

    Mix and let rise some, then beat egg and add shortening and flour.
