- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 4 Tbsp. superfine sugar
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Lightly grease large baking sheet. Sift flour and salt.

3Rub in butter until mixture looks like bread crumbs.

4Then add sugar and raisins.

5Mix to a soft dough with milk.

6Roll out dough on lightly floured board to 1/2-inch thickness.

7Cut into 1 1/2-inch rounds.

8Put on baking sheet. Brush with milk.

9Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

10Serve with jam and tea. Makes 12.
