- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter (8 oz.)
- 1 medium egg yolk
Directions

1Mix together 2 1/4 cups flour with sugar; cut in butter as for pastry.

2Bind together with egg yolk.

3Knead lightly using other 1/4 cup flour as needed.

4Divide into 4 portions.

5Roll each one out to a 1/2-inch circle.

6Score edges and prick center with fork. Mark into wedges with knife going down 1/8-inch.

7Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes; let cool 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
