- 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. clear vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 350° (convection oven: 325°).

2Cream butter or margarine and sugar.

3Add vanilla.

4Gradually add flour (do not use self-rising flour in this recipe).

5Make into a ball and roll between two pieces of waxed paper, 1/2 to 1/3-inch thick.

6Cut into small shapes (leaves, ovals, squares, rounds, triangles, etc.) with cookie cutters.

7Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 1/2-inch apart.

8Bake approximately 20 minutes.

9Remove from cookie sheet immediately and place on wire racks to cool.

10Makes about 2 dozen 1 1/2 x 1-inch cookies.
