  • 1 lb. butter, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 6 c. flour
  • sugar or powdered sugar

Directions

    Mix butter, 1 cup sugar and flour, a little at a time.

    Pat in jelly roll pan.

    Roll with rolling pin until smooth.

    Then fork all over.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Remove from oven and cut into bars right away, while hot.

    Sprinkle with sugar or powdered sugar.

    Set on rack to cool.
