- 3 1/2 c. meat stock or water
- 1 c. self-rising corn meal
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- 1 lb. cooked, crumbled sausage
- 1 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Mix meal, flour and hot sauce in 1/2 of cold stock.

2Bring 1/2 stock to boiling.

3Slowly stir in corn meal mixture.

4Cook and stir until mixture thickens.

5Continue cooking for 30 minutes.

6Stir in sausage.

7Pour into well-greased loaf pan.

8Cool and refrigerate. When firm, cut into slices.

9Roll in flour and fry in oil until brown on both sides.

10Serve with syrup.
