  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 c. milk (Judges 14:18)
  • 2 Tbsp. honey (Judges 14:18)
  • 2 c. figs, chopped (Song of Solomon)
  • 2 c. raisins (2 Samuel 2:3)
  • 2 c. almonds (Numbers 17:8)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Cream the sugar and butter until very light and fluffy.

    Beat in eggs, one at a time.

    Sift together all dry ingredients.

    Add alternately with milk to batter.

    Stir in honey.

    Fold in raisins, figs and almonds.

    Mix well.

    Turn into greased 9 x 5 1/3-inch loaf pans (two).

    Bake 60 minutes.
