The easiest way to make this big cake is to cream softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer.

Add eggs, one by one, then honey and water.

In a separate bowl, place all dry ingredients and stir until thoroughly blended.

Stir in chopped fruit and nuts and finally, the butter/sugar mix.

Beat well and pour into buttered, lightly floured 9 x 13 x 2 1/2-inch baking pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

Start checking, however, when cake has been baking for an hour.
