  • 2 lb. pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 c. (1/2 pt.) sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • 1 c. corn flakes, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
  • pepper

Directions

    Saute onions in 1/4 stick margarine; add soup, sour cream and cheese until cheese is melted.

    Break up potatoes into small pieces; place in 9 x 13-inch greased casserole.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    Pour mix over.

    Melt 1/2 stick oleo; add 1 cup crushed corn flakes to this and spread over top of casserole. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
