Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. diced salt pork
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cans cream of potato soup
  • 2 soup cans milk
  • 1 lb. fillet of whitefish, cut in 2-inch pieces
  • 1 c. sliced, cooked carrots (small can will do)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium bay leaf

Directions

    In saucepan, brown salt pork; remove.

    In drippings, cook celery and onion until tender.

    Add salt pork and remaining ingredients.

    Bring to boil.

    Reduce heat.

    Simmer 10 minutes or until fish is done.

    Stir often.

    Remove bay leaf.

    Makes 8 1/2 cups.
