- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 c. or less water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine sugar and water and boil together until mixture will spin a thread when dropped from spoon.

2Beat egg whites until stiff.

3Pour boiled mixture over stiffly beaten egg whites gradually and beat until cool.

4Add vanilla and spread between layers and on top and sides of cake.
