Seafoam Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. or less water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine sugar and water and boil together until mixture will spin a thread when dropped from spoon.

    Beat egg whites until stiff.
  3. 3
    Pour boiled mixture over stiffly beaten egg whites gradually and beat until cool.
  4. 4
    Add vanilla and spread between layers and on top and sides of cake.
