- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. chocolate cake mix
Directions

1Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package directions for cupcakes.

2In a separate bowl, cream together the cream cheese and sugar.

3Into this mixture, beat in the egg, then stir in chocolate chips.

4Line cupcake tins with cupcake liners and fill 2/3 full with chocolate cake batter.

5Add 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture to the center; top with more cake mix.

6Bake according to directions for cupcakes.

7Cool and frost with chocolate or cream cheese frosting.
