Sesame Chicken Kabobs

  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. Chablis wine
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seed
  • 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 4 chicken breast halves, skinned, deboned and cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 small green bell pepper, quartered
  • 1 medium onion, quartered
  • 8 large mushroom caps
  • 8 cherry tomatoes

Directions

    Combine vegetable oil, soy sauce, Chablis, corn syrup, sesame seed, lemon juice, garlic powder and ginger.

    Stir well.

    Add chicken and vegetables and chill for 2 hours.

    Drain chicken and reserve marinade.

    Alternate chicken and vegetable pieces on skewers, placing tomatoes on each end.

    Grill 6 inches from medium-hot coals 15 to 20 minutes, turning and basting often with marinade.
