  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 pound Green Beans, Trimmed
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Thinly Sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil

Directions

    Add sesame seeds to a small nonstick pan, turn heat to medium, and toast for 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned. Set aside.

    Fill a large bowl with cold water and ice and set aside. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch string beans for 2-3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and shock in ice water bath. When cooled, remove from ice water bath and pat dry.

    Add oil and garlic to a large skillet. Turn heat to medium. Cook 2-3 minutes or until garlic becomes lightly golden. Whisk together soy sauce, honey and sesame oil in a small bowl. Add green beans and soy mixture to pan. Increase heat to medium-high and saute about 2 minutes or until beans are heated through and sauce slightly thickens. Top with sesame seeds. Enjoy.
