Ingredients

  • 1 pound Whole Wheat Spaghetti
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots
  • 1 whole Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cups Scallions
  • 1/4 cups Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or 3 Garlic Cloves)
  • 1 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 3 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 1 dash Red Pepper Flakes

Directions

    Bring water to a boil in a large pot.

    Season with salt and add spaghetti.

    Cook for 8 minutes.

    With 1 minute of cooking time remaining, add the carrots to the pasta.

    Then drain and set aside.

    Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small sauce pan.

    Bring the sauce to a boil and then turn heat down to low and cook for 2-3 minutes so sugar can dissolve.

    Toss the hot pasta with the sauce.

    Then add the red bell pepper and scallions.
